フィレンツェのLisio工房にあるビロードの手織り機で織った菊の紋様の織物
This is a piece made from hand-woven cisele velvet at Fondazione Lisio.

デザインは植紋類纂という紋様の見本帳にある菊と蔦の紋様を輪奈ビロードで再現したもの。

京都にある老舗のビロードの織元さんで昔の織物見本帳を見せてもらった時に、一目ぼれしたのが輪奈ビロードでした。この織物を再現するために織物を習いたいと思うきっかけをくれた織物。

特殊でとても手間がかかる織物のため、今では日本では今ではなかなか学べる場所がないと聞き、ヨーロッパの織物スクールをリサーチ。唯一見つけたのがイタリアのLisio 工房でした。

Looking through an old textile sample book owned by a weaver in Kyoto,
I was fascinated by the beauty of this specific of textile "Cisele Velvet".
This textile made me start researching about where I can learn to weave.
And its destination was Florence, Italy.

名刺入れにちょうど良いサイズです。
It is a good size for name card or business card.
